A SOBERING ROUND-UP OF WAR REPORTS

I've noted before that some U.S. soldiers in Iraq think every adult male is the enemy, so indiscriminate killing is OK. John Caruso of A Tiny Revolution has a depressing collection of statements from U.S. soldiers to the same effect. Here's a sample:
"It's like you're fighting a faceless enemy," said Cpl. Jeb Moser, 21, of Ruston, La. "They're all just ragheads to me, the same way they used to call the enemy 'gooks' in Vietnam."
