DEFENDING A DEEPLY-HELD ILLUSION
I've noted before that that Baggers cling to the mythology of the purity of rural America and Prof. J.M. Bernstein describes this illusion as bad metaphysics:

Perhaps, but when Obama continues Bush's policy, for example, of kowtowing to the oil lobby in his appointments and the result is
big government regulatory "ineffeciency" resulting in the spill...he actually increases the
small government impetus of the tea party ranks.
