RADIO GASBAGS & THE RATINGS

RADIO-INFO has a list of Arbitron markets that gives the breakdown for each station and I looked at a few markets I thought would have a lot of conservatives. Not one of the conservative stations was in the top 10 by CUME. I only included stations that has at least 2 of the big 3 (Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck) on during the day.

The number in brackets "[]" represents national market size ranking.

CUME is "In the practice of measuring the size of US commercial broadcasting and newspaper audiences, cume, short for "cumulative audience," is a measure of the total number of unique listeners over a period."
[5]Dallas-Ft. Worth has KBAP, which has Limbaugh, Hannity and Mark Levin. It ranks 17th by CUME.

[6]Houston-Galveston has KTRH, which has Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity. It ranks 16th by CUME.

[15]Phoenix has KFYI, which has Limbaugh and Hannity. It ranks 22nd by CUME.

[19]Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater has WFLA, which has Beck and Limbaugh during the day. It ranks 15th by CUME.

[21]St. Louis has KFTK-FM, which has Beck and Hannity. It ranks 18th by CUME.

[30]Salt Lake City has KNRS, which has Beck and Limbaugh. It ranks 29th by CUME.
