THIS IS UP THERE WITH ASSROCKET'S POST ABOUT BUSH

Sadly,No! remains one of the best liberal blogs as you can see from this entry about the krazy perfesser Donald Douglas.

First, the stimulus...
Second, the deranged response by the wingnut perfessser:
Then turning around, I saw this kid yacking it up for the crowd, obviously having a blast with this ugly Jew-hating sign. And what does that mean, “SASQUATCH ISRAEL”? This is a play on the “legitimacy myth” of Israel’s existence. As there’s of course a “Sasquatch myth,” it’s worth noting the implied comparison: that Israel is also an ape-like beast existing only in historical folklore. Absent legitimacy, Israel has “no right to exist.” This kid’s sign is but one more example of eliminationist anti-Semitism. And look at how overjoyed he is in boasting this hatred. Creepy

From which we can conclude that Prof. Donald Douglas of American Power and other nests of teh krazy has a word parsing problem. Of course, for the true wingnut, nothing counts as a contradiction:
So “SASQUATCH ISRAEL” is really truly “SASQUATCH IS REAL.” And there’s even a website for that, on Facebook.

Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I’m dumb.

I stand by what I wrote, either way.
This reminds me of Fats Limbaugh trying to explain one of his many errors:
I was not wrong, I was just uninformed

As "Israel" has never declared its borders and as the Orthodox Jewish view of Zionism includes large areas of land the Jews purportedly lived in...ruled?...in Bible times which must be recaptured, the Palestinians perfectly correct in not "recognizing" "Israel."

Ken,

I read a book about the development of the Middle East and it seems that Jericho was one of many early settlements, going back to around 9000 BC. The Semites didn't show up for thousands of years after.
