THE MUSTACHE OF UNDERSTANDING ON THE GASBAGS

Tom Friedman could have written this column 10, 15 or even 20 years ago:
When widely followed public figures feel free to say anything, without any fact-checking, we have a problem. It becomes impossible for a democracy to think intelligently about big issues — deficit reduction, health care, taxes, energy/climate — let alone act on them. Facts, opinions and fabrications just blend together.
His own newspaper has helped spread the BS (Whitewater, WMD), so perhaps he should resign?

He's an amoral Zionist-lite who at one time took joy in Iraqi suffering. If you're Middle Eastern and not an enlightened outsourcing nation, it's part of your growing pains, according to Friedman.
