A LITTLE SCHADENFREUDE

Last week, Jay Nordlinger of the NRO was on Slots Bennett's show and complained about how an unsubstantiated accusation against St. Sarah Palin connecting her to the Giffords Attack had become so widespread.  I've noted below that there are some reasons for making the connection, most notably the words of Gabrielle Giffords herself, so the claim truly isn't unsubstantiated.  What has been unsubstantiated over the years are conservative claims, perhaps most notably about "death panels," which have also taken hold with the broader public.
