FAUX NEWS LOVES WACKOS

(h/t BuzzFlash)

Michael Scheuer, the guy I praised below for some truth telling, is also a Beck-like wacko. In a conversation about the revolt in Egypt, he had this to say about the American people:
“So it’s just a very funny situation Americans seem to be increasingly Marxist-like in their absolute faith in democracy for people who have never had any experience with the process, so I think you know Panetta made a little mistake yesterday, but generally speaking, the whole tenor of both parties is causing the destruction of American interests in Egypt.”

Not necessarily, Steve. You're missing the crucial question. Did Scheuer support the policy of bankrolling Mubarek? If he did, he's an imperialist, though of an Israel-critical "realist" stripe and probably could be proven to be inwardly contradicted on that account as well, because no aid to Israel, no need to buy out Egypt.
Have the info?

Ken,

I was merely pointing out the misuse of the adjective "MArxist," something common in wingnut world.

agree with premise that imposition of "democratic universalism" is itself elitist, however.
