Beck has a weird habit of connecting people who at best have a "clang" association, such as Woodrow Wilson and Che Guevara. I was reading the first book of A. J. Ayer's autobiography and I came across an interesting tidbit that I can use to make a similar connection, so here goes.
Noel Langley wrote the screenplay for "The Wizard of Oz" and during WW II he worked with Ayer in NYC. Ayer knew George Orwell, SO the Wizard and 1984 are beck-connected.
