Billy is also pretty ignorant. Last night, he claimed that Hitler's Beer Hall Putsch enabled him to take over Germany when in fact the Putsch was a miserable failure that didn't even take over Munich:
Beer Hall Putsch, also called Munich Putsch, German Bierkeller Putsch, Münchener Putsch, or Hitlerputsch, Adolf Hitler’s attempt to start an insurrection in Germany against the Weimar Republic on Nov. 8–9, 1923. Hitler and his small Nazi Party associated themselves with General Erich Ludendorff, a right-wing German military leader of World War I. Forcing their way into a right-wing political meeting in a beer hall in Munich on the evening of November 8, Hitler and his men obtained agreement that the leaders there should join in carrying the “revolution” to Berlin (after the pattern of Benito Mussolini’s march on Rome in the preceding year); but the next day, on a march toward the Marienplatz in the centre of Munich, the approximately 3,000 Nazis were met by a fusillade of gunfire from a police cordon; 16 Nazis and 3 policemen died. The rebels then abandoned the project on thus learning that the government was prepared to counteract forcibly.SOURCE: ENCYLOPEDIA BRITANNICA
