THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE IS IGNORANT AND LAZY

Steve Benen provides this quote from Rep. John Boehner:

"In the last two years, under President Obama, the federal government has added 200,000 new federal jobs," Boehner said.

I went to BLS.GOV and retrived the statistics for all Federal workers and the real number is something like 58,000, not 200,000.

UPDATE: Ed O'Keefe at the WaPo provides statistics from the Office of Personnel Managment which show 107,057 new jobs were added.
