I haven't found any still pictures of the crowd yet but Trent Humprhies claims there were 2,300 in attendance. Andrew Breitbart gave a typical speech, full of anger and paranoia (
from AZ Daily Star):
The crowd thinned after Breitbart delivered his 25-minute speech, which he punctuated by telling various media entities and politicians to “go to hell,” including — in a demonstration of his lack of familiarity with local news stations — “channels 2, 4 and 7.” Channel 2 is ESPN on Comcast and My TV on Cox.
“Go to hell, sheriff whatever-his-name-is,” Breitbart said in between approving crowd roars. “Go to hell, guy with the shrine,” he added, referring to Jan. 8 massacre gunman Jared Lee Loughner.
Breitbart told the audience that the mainstream media is “evil” and is “at war with us.”
The Daily Star reported found a true Fundie in attendance:
At least as entertaining as the speakers were a smattering of creative signs, which included a vulgar acronym of OBAMA. The most colorful belonged to 70-year-old retiree Paul Adler, who wore a placard over his head, supported by sticks strapped to his belly, of Obama’s face on the head of a golden calf.
Adler, who said he was hoping there would be a bigger turnout at the event, cited the Biblical tale of Exodus, in which the Israelites worship, then destroy, a false idol.
“Many hold Obama as a false god, and he too will be destroyed, but destroyed in a different way,” Adler said, clarifying that he meant Obama will lose the 2012 election.
