If you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know that I've spent some time trying to understand what our Founders thought and which thinkers may have influenced them. I've discovered that it takes a great deal of reading to get near to satisfactory answers to these questions and that I'm far from being finished. As a result, statements by a jock like Luke Scott annoy me.

Luke Scott's free-speaking ways may draw concern, but not to those who know him

Most topics were about Scott's love of guns and hunting. But then the discussion turns to politics, and blogger David Brown asks him about President Obama.
"Obama does not represent America. … He does not represent what our forefathers stood for," Scott told Brown.
Scott went on to say that Obama was not born in America and referenced socialism, Cuba and Russia.
