The material calls for lawmakers to amend state laws governing school curriculums, and for textbook selection criteria to say that “No portrayal of minority experience in the history which actually occurred shall obscure the experience or contributions of the Founding Fathers, or the majority of citizens, including those who reached positions of leadership.”

I like the term "race consciousness."
The amount one has of course varies, for good or bad. And must be applied politically to be valid.
If Obama doesn't condemn the Israeli slaughter of Palestinians today (see Greenwald), the tea party should at least label him a self-hating Muslim.
