NOT QUITE

John Avlon writes that the conservative radio gasbags may have seen their best ratings days:
Analysis of industry data shows that in market after market, Rush’s ranking has declined decisively over the past five years among advertisers’ coveted 25-54 age group.
Avlon then writes:
Among listeners 65 and older, Rush remains No. 1. He can sell bedpans and resentment forever. But the demographic trend is not his friend.
I think the demographic trend IS in Rush's favor because of the Baby Boomers. The U.S. Census Bureau has estimates of the population distribution from 2000 to 2009 and I made a graph of the data for the years 2000 (blue line) and 2009 (red line).

The hump that we see in 2000 in the 30-39 group has moved to the 40-49 group in 2009.
