REMEMBER SINGAPORE?

The Heritage Foundation ranks it #2 in the world on economic freedom.  What's surprising is Singapore's "statist" health care and retirement system, so if we grant Heritage wingnut credibility, then a "statist" system can co-exist with great economic freedom.

What's a little more surprsing is that a hack at the National Review also recognizes that Singapore is "statist".  (h/t Andrew Sullivan)
