WHY WAR IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE

It's not just because of our fancy weapons:

The Pentagon pays an average of $400 to put a gallon of fuel into a combat vehicle or aircraft in Afghanistan.

Check, on her site ,Diane Rehm's guest expert on the subject today. He made sundry good points. He came up short in the end however. Wants to keep 10,000 or so troops there. The Afghani majority want in the neighborhood of...NONE.
