The Free Market Fairy conservatives simply turn away from the numerous facts that indicate people often make poor choices. Even after at least 20 years of warnings, people still go with very hackable passwords.

Back at the dawn of the Web, the most popular account password was “12345.”
Today, it’s one digit longer but hardly safer: “123456.”

According to a new analysis, one out of five Web users still decides to leave the digital equivalent of a key under the doormat: they choose a simple, easily guessed password like “abc123,” “iloveyou” or even “password” to protect their data.
This problem is also found in the newest "new thing," the iPhone:
An iPhone developer by the name of Daniel Amitay anonymously recorded passcodes for those who were using is App, Big Brother Camera Security.
