Latest poll shows large majority concerned about inequality

Sixty-one percent of respondents to a Washington Post/ABC News poll say the gap between the highest earners and everyone else is larger than it was in the past--a statement that's true by most measures-- with 37 percent saying its "much larger." And 60 percent say the federal government should aim to shrink the gap.
The results come on the heels of a similar Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released Tuesday. This one found that 76 percent agreed with the view that America's economic structure favors a small proportion of the rich over the rest of the country, and that the government should reduce the power of major banks and corporations.
