Mark "Foamer" Levin has endorsed only two candidates, Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum. According to RealClearPolitics latest aggregation of Iowa polls, The Eyes is at 9.2% and Man-on-Dog is at 5.8%. So, it looks like rabid, Levin-style conservatism doesn't go over well even in Iowa.

Evidently Limbaugh made it clear yesterday he could support any GOP competitor except Ron Paul in a race against Obama, further saying Paul is the only one who can't beat O.
Since it is fairly clear Paul can perhaps affect who does win the GOP nomination but can't himself win the GOP nomination, I consider the Levin/Limbaugh etc. sallies gratuitously and Pavlovian "I stand with Israel" reflexive.
But I might be missing something equally representative of societal collapse as causative e.g. the need to believe in America as indispensable world hegemonist.
BTW, I seem to notice a direct correlation between the politicos who are most concerned and pressing for a continuing overweening world policing by the U.S. and the (same) politicos who seem to be least, if any, concerned about the economic plight of those most negatively affected by the collapse since 2008.
