LIKE HIS DAUGHTER SAID, NEWT'S BEEN A BROKEN RECORD

At the 2012 CPAC, Newt pledged to "change Washington, not accommodate it." He said pretty much the same thing 18 years ago:

And unlike other leading Republicans, Gingrich is coming to power with a master plan for Congress and the country.

"I am the most serious, systematic revolutionary of modern times," he says matter-of-factly outside a nursing home in Alexandria, Va. A day later, he tells a Republican audience in Waldorf, Md., that a GOP takeover in November would mean nothing less than "the first decisive step back to create a century of freedom for the entire human race."
