ARE THE BAGGERS LIKE PET ROCKS?

Pet Rocks were hot for a while in the mid-70s but are now a mere curiosity and the same may be true for the Baggers.  They haven't done well in the GOP primaries and they haven't increased turnout.  POLITICO writes that they were beaten out by the GOP "elites" but I think the real cause is declining popularity.
