TOO MUCH DATA, NOT ENOUGH TIME

Research scientists need more computerized access to publications so they can access the knowledge that is rapidly being accumulated. Right now, publishers are resisting these efforts but perhaps someday the system will change.

I think something like this has also happened to politics, at least in America.  Just to keep track of wingnut bullshit takes hours per day and not many Americans have the time or inclination to do the necessary research.
