MORE ON TODD AKIN

I noticed that whenever a conservative steps in deep doo-doo, conservative talk radio is ready to give him or her a platform to attempt to repair the damage.  Today, Rep. Akin appeared on at least 2 radio shows, Sean Hannity's and Mike Huckabee's.  Hannity tried to gently nudge Akin into withdrawing from the Missouri Senate race but I don't know what the Huckster said.

The Akin scandal should not be taken as an aberration because the GOP makes a business of pandering to Fundie extremists (e.g. Mitt Romney Said In 2007 He Would Be “Delighted” To Sign A Bill Banning All Abortions Nationally) and in it appears that some Fundies are so morally and politically tone-deaf that they are defending Akin:
Family Research Council head defends Akin  —  From POLITICO's James Hohmann in Tampa: … The officials at SBA List have also reportedly defended Akin, setting up a dynamic in which the party's conservative base is protecting the staunchly pro-life candidate.
