A PERSONAL ANECDOTE & A POLITICAL ONE

Back in the 1980s, I was in graduate seminar on the psychology of language and the topic one night was the attempt by computer scientists to make computers understand English.  I made some disparaging statement which hinged on my ignorance of the fact that there is only ONE embassy in a country.  All the other places are consulates.

Of course, I wasn't running for President back then (or ever) but shouldn't Mitten$ know better?

Romney referred in his statement to the "embassies" and particularly to "our embassy at Benghazi, Libya." He made the mistake three times, so it wasn't just a slip of the lip.
