A 32-year-old man was shot during a fight Sunday morning in the parking lot of a midtown club, police said.

Police received reports of a shooting at 2:11 a.m. at Ten’s Showclub, 5120 E. Speedway, said Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.

Police found the wounded man and Tucson Fire Department paramedics transported the man with life-threatening injuries to a hospital, Hawke said.

A preliminary investigation showed that a fight broke out between two groups of people in the parking lot of the club, said Hawke.

Several shots were fired and a white SUV left the parking lot at a high rate of speed, said Hawke.

The evidence is that the United States has far too high a domestic crime rate to be judged capable of peace-keeping and nation-building in the Middle East. Which is a probable corollary as to why it has such success in creating and exacerbating havoc in nations like Iraq and Afghanistan and Syria.
