WHAT ARE THE TOTAL COSTS OF THE NRA?
I just finished reading The Hidden Brain by Shankar Vedantam and he touched upon the harm our minimally restrictive gun laws have on Americans. It seems that we have at least another 9/11 every year because of guns involved in homicides, suicides, domestic violence and accidents. We have taken enormous steps to prevent another 9/11 but have done almost nothing about gun violence.

Those "enormous steps" include devising an Islamophobic police state at home (see Greenwald yesterday) rendering and torturing innocents abroad etc etc.
These need to cease and then we'll talk about gun control of the ordinary citizen.
