I MAY HAVE FOUND A NON-WACKO CONSERVATIVE PUBLICATION

I was looking for conservative response to this POLITICO article that reports many in the GOP are going fight back against the Baggers in the primaries and I found one from The American Conservative by Michael Brendan Dougherty.   Dougherty mostly made sense, as you can glean from this excerpt:

The same mechanism that allowed Ron Paul to build a movement that helped elect a few others like him, also allows Herman Cains and Newt Gingriches to make their speaking fees fatter while fitting the straitjacket on the nominee.

Daniel Larison, another non-wacko conservative, also writes for this magazine.
