PARTICIPATORY DEMOCRACY AND INFORMATION
Back in 1922, Walter Lippmann argued that average citizens can no longer make rational decisions about public policy because they don't have access to the detailed information they would need. Now that we have the Internet, we should have at least the potential to be well-informed on topics of personal interest.
