J. Mijin Cha has a nice summary of how the rich have a different view of the economy than the all the rest of us and cites a paper by Benjamin I. Page, Larry M. Bartels and Jason Seawright that provides a peek at a couple of large differences:

The federal government should provide jobs for everyone
able and willing to work who cannot find a job in private
employment
Wealthy 8% The Rest 53%
