Tonight, he criticized Israel for the first time I can recall. He said that Israel was the tail wagging the dog of US foreign policy and that has to stop now before we get into more trouble in the Middle East.
In the past, he's attacked callers who said that Israel has too much influence on America's foreign policy.

In the past he's occasionally taken the line that if Israel isn't aggressive enough in defending its own interests, the US shouldn't fill in the gap or support it. This has only been in the context of pushing Israel to be even more oppressive however.
