Conservatives have been bragging and blabbing about F. A. Hayek for years but when a short column debunks some of the mythology, almost no one bothers to comment. The original on Reuters has only 1 and the Yahoo News repost only 4.

My favorite part is a quote from Hayek:
“I doubt whether there can be such a thing as a conservative political philosophy. Conservatism may often be a useful practical maxim, but it does not give us any guiding principles which can influence long-range developments.”
