An American acquaintance of mine was going to Toronto but .was prevented by the Canadian border officials because he had a DUI conviction even though he was only a passenger in the car driven by his boss.
Going in the other direction, an American was questioned by US border officials because she was arrested for participating in a non-violent demonstration against the drone murders.
