McCLATCHY DRAWS THE WRONG CONCLUSION

We detected and avoided a  new terrorist attack, but this McClatchy article, "Global terror alert inconsistent with U.S. portrayal of weakened al Qaida," as if the decrease in both number of attacks on the West and casualties haven't declined since 2008. Worse, if you read the comments, this article seems to have re-invigorated the same kind of rightwing cowards we saw and heard during the Bush years.

My conclusion is, as Greenwald, I don't trust the veracity or the motives of the report. I'm not sure where you're coming from.
The way to reduce the "terrorist" problem is to get out of the Mideast and cut off aid to Israel,
hence Egypt, hence all other parties, and engage in a policy of non-interventionist neutrality.

I pretty much agree with the above. My point is that McClatchy seems to be echoing Sean Hannity.
