A fender bender in a fast-food drive-thru late Wednesday ended with one man shot to death and another in jail.
When officers arrived at the McDonald’s, 1901 S. Sixth Ave. at East 29th Street, they found Francisco Gonzalez-Alvarez, 35, lying in the parking lot where he had been shot.
They arrested Zoran Medic, 22, who was still had a gun, Inorio said.
A minor traffic collision occurred in the drive-thru between Medic and Gonzalez-Alvarez, and a fight occurred outside the vehicles, Inorio said. “It appears Medic retrieved a handgun from his vehicle, and a brief struggle ensued and Medic discharged the weapon, striking Gonzalez-Alvarez.”
