ONCE AGAIN, ISRAEL'S CONCERNS TAKE TOP BILLING

I was going to write a post about how the new Iranian president seems much more rational than the old one but this article in the NY Times reminded of another angle:

I don't see the need to reassure Israel nor do I like AIPAC sticking it's nose in this matter of foreign policy:
In Washington, a leading pro-Israel lobbying group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, issued a memo on Friday, echoing much of Mr. Netanyahu’s plan.

They certainly do as well to this cretin Cruz, who wants Israel's wars financed but every other part of US government declared bankrupt.

When you "split the difference" as McConnell puts it, the Palestinians
get further dispossessed while Iran is only put on hold.
