PRES. OBAMA DIDN'T PUSH THIS HARD FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM

Why is he putting so much effort into getting the OK to attack Syria?

From POLITICO:
As part of a multi-pronged push to sell his plan to Congress and the public, Obama will tape interviews Monday afternoon with anchors from ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as with PBS, CNN and Fox News, the White House said. The interviews will air Monday evening.

The interviews will be conducted by ABC’s Diane Sawyer, CBS’s Scott Pelley, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Fox’s Chris Wallace, NBC’s Brian Williams and PBS’s Gwen Ifill.
From USA Today:

President Obama said Friday he will address the American people on Tuesday about Syria, and acknowledged that efforts to win congressional and international support for a military strike have been a "hard sell."

Speaking to reporters after the G-20 summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, Obama said: "I do consider it part of my job to help make the case and to explain to the American people exactly why I think this is the right thing to do."
