MIXED REACTION

Pres. Obama (I presume) okayed this:
Defying China, U.S. bombers and Japanese planes fly through new air zone

(Reuters) - Two unarmed U.S. B-52 bombers on a training mission flew over disputed islands in the East China Sea without informing Beijing while Japan's main airlines also ignored Chinese authorities when their planes passed through a new airspace defense zone on Wednesday.

It's good to stand up to China and support Japan but I'm wondering if two heavy bombers is a bit too much.

BTW, these are the "precious" islands China wants to grab:

I don't believe the US has any business supporting or opposing anybody in the Orient, not with military action.
Perhaps if it removed bases from Europe and the Mideast, I would reconsider.
But then the American Elite would not be composed of the ilk which dominates it.
