TORTURE IS AMERICAN AS APPLE PIE
Nick Turse's book also makes it clear that American forces in Vietnam were not at all shy about torturing prisoners, so that makes torture an acceptable practice for at least the last 50 years.

Rubbish. But he might have planned an Iran deal failure. The chief evidence we have of his defiance of the Zionist Lobby so far was occasioned when Putin checkmated him on Syria. So anything is worth considering.
That's a bit too cynical for my taste.
