It's interesting that the Big Bad Russian Bear had to turn to the Cheese-eating Surrender Monkeys for two assault carriers for its Pacific Fleet but we are no longer dealing with the old USSR:
However, given the inability of Russian yards to turn out large, quality ships since the end of the Cold War, the Mistrals represented the best chance of adding aviation and amphibious capabilities to Russia’s decaying fleets.
