“I must admit, and I sometimes worry about this, but I don’t watch cable news anymore much,” Limbaugh said. While he wasn’t quite “addicted,” he said he would make “appointments” to watch certain programs, especially the Sunday morning shows, but after a while he “lost interest.”

“The reason I lost interest is I stopped learning things,” he continued. Now matter who the guests were, he found their answers to be “predictable.” When he called cable news “formulaic,” he wanted to assure his audience that his words should not be considered a “criticism” of the medium.

His own radio show is predictable and formulaic.
