THE SENATE REPUBLICANS DON'T CARE FOR MORE NSA OVERSIGHT
The EFF considers the USA Freedom Act a good start toward reining in the NSA but too many Republicans refused to bring the bill up for a vote:

Rand Paul said he voted against it because it was not strong enough, not that I agree or disagree with his strategy.
I disagree with his strategy because the bill was a good start. Also, I have to give Ted Cruz a little credit for voting YES.
