MORE I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT AMERICA DURING MY YOUTH

The PBS special on 1970 noted that 58% of Americans blamed the students for the deaths at Kent State and I also recalled attending a HS graduation ceremony in 1971 of a younger friend and the speaker was glad to announce that about 50% of 18-year-olds agreed with their parents about politics, the war and economics.  I remember that I found that depressing and I hoped that it would change soon.  The next year Nixon would get 508 Electoral College votes.
