SENATOR INHOFE IS A BARBARIAN

James Inhofe: “Global warming is an alarmism. It’s a type of a hoax. The reality is that a cap on carbon is a cap on the economy.” LINK

Chief climate skeptic Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) “is vowing to stall Gore’s hotly anticipated Capitol concert to draw attention to global warming,” claiming it is a “partisan” event, despite its bipartisan sponsorship. “Inhofe appeared to see little room for an accommodation that could allow the concert to go forward. ‘There’s no compromise.’” LINK

On Sunday, the London Telegraph previewed a new report from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is viewed as an authoritative source of global warming science.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), outgoing chairman of the Environment & Public Works Committee, said the report is evidence that global warming was all hype:
We are all skeptics now. It appears that the UN is now acknowledging what an increasing number of scientists who study the climate have come to realize:
Predictions of manmade catastrophic global warming are simply unsustainable.
Inhofe’s core claim is that global warming is “the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people” and humans are not responsible for climate change. The new IPCC report does not support Inhofe’s position, it undermines it. LINK

AND A BIG LIAR:

Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) on Friday:

Inhofe, speaking to the press before Cheney’s arrival, lambasted Democrats for Thursday’s Senate vote to begin withdrawal from Iraq by Oct. 1 and the press for
“mischaracterizing” the reasons for U.S. involvement. “The whole idea of
weapons of mass destruction was never the issue, yet they keep trying to bring this up,” Inhofe said. […]

Pressed for an explanation, Inhofe said weapons of mass destruction were “incidental” to the decision to invade Iraq.

“The media made that the issue because they knew Saddam Hussein had used weapons of mass destruction.” LINK
