FOR FUTURE READING

I listened to Tech Nation today and Duncan Watts was one of the guests.   I was surprised to learn that he is a Principal Research Scientist for Yahoo in addition to holding 2 other positions.  I also didn't know that Yahoo did research at all and I was especially interested in its social science research:
Microeconomics and social systems applies social sciences techniques, including algorithmic game theory, economics, network analysis, psychology, ethnography, and mechanism design, to online situations. We explore how participants interact and model and build systems.
This is the type of work that I think could be very useful for studying politics.
