In fact, a major cause of our recent downturn was a housing crisis created by reckless government policies. It was the reckless private sector, from real estate agents to hedge fund managers, that caused the problem, not the government.
Most of his other lies involve the absurd GOP defense of the Free Market Fairy, including these whoppers:
And we agree with the President that we should lower our corporate tax rate, which is one of the highest in the world, so that companies will start bringing their money and their jobs back here from overseas.
Every dollar our government borrows is money that isn't being invested to create jobs. And the uncertainty created by the debt is one reason why many businesses aren't hiring.I listened to Rubio's speech over the radio and I was struck by how nervous he was. I've heard him on other occasions and he's usually much more polished.

a little balance needed;here are the Obama lies.
Fair enough...
Government caused the whole real estate debacle: without connivance of congress (omitting, changing, and plassing laws)to please their puppetmasters, the banks (including cartel banks):

Rubio is but another in a long line of buffoons and clowns who parrot talking points and make up lies about themselves in their quest to grab the golden ring. He is why we need to amend the constition to get corportaions and money out of politics.

The bankers already can do it all over again, are speeding down that road. Commercial and investment banks are still the same bank. Too-big-to-fail banks are as big as ever, or bigger. Money-manager fees are still taxed as capital gains. There's no progressive corporate income tax. Capital gains are still taxed far less than earned income. "Heads bankers win, tails the country loses" is still effectively law.

Yves at Naked Capitalism is dubious as how much good Warren can do in her position.
Regardless, I go further and say, not only the banksters, but Rubio should be put on trial for lying and propangandizing the lies, respectively.
