Things aren't any better for mullah Pat on the AOL message boards. Here's a few:

Spiritwarrior51: Christian fundamentalism is the most dangerous thing our country faces in todays world. It's filled with a bunch of homophobic, neo fascist demagogues that use religion as their self righetous finger pointing pedistal. They act as if everyone else is wrong, and they're the only ones that are right in the name of Jesus.

Millions of people have been murdered in the name of Jesus Christ. Hypocrisy is the cornerstone of Christian fundamentalism!

Rolando1933:And this statement comes from a "christian". Wow! unbeliavable.

Judy the K:You Conservative Republicans and Fundamentalist Christians are traitors to my country. Your mullahs and imams, both in the White House and on the 700 Club, are debasing our democratic traditions, our respect for civilization, honesty and the rule of law, and our standing in the world -- where, a mere six years ago, we were loved and respected as a symbol of fairness, freedom, tolerance and an open society. May the God who made the First Commandment Thou Shalt Not Kill, have mercy on you, with your racist military Crusades, your torture lite, your genocidal talk of "cleansing" and your drooling dreams of world domination. Stop threatening people, and check into a clinic for help.

I was in an AOL chat room months ago and made this joke:"BAD NEWS -- FALWELL OUT OF HOSPITAL" and I was surpised to find that about 1/3rd of the people openly liked it. I didn't get any negative feedback but the discussion switched from the Iraq War to how bad these fundie mullahs were for America.

I realize none of this is solid statistical evidence but I'm getting the feeling that the power of the Christian Right may have peaked.
