This appeared in my local paper:
Zach Zimbelman, 24, spent a perilous year at Camp Taji, 12 miles south of the spider hole where former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was found.
Zimbelman was in a "quick reaction force" - a team in charge of battling insurgents who attacked the U.S. base.
He believes much good has come from U.S. action in Iraq.
"The thing I enjoyed most was seeing the girls being able to go to school," he said.
Once again, Iraq was secular under Saddam and women could go to school.
