At the beginning of Slot's show, Seth, one of his flunkies, read a bit of AssRocket's opinion on the call for a special prosecutor and this sums it up nicely: "The Democrats are going completely insane over Alberto Gonzales." Slots approved of that thought but what else could we expect from someone who has so little respect for the rule of law (NSA, Schiavo)?
Later, Slots made the claim that the Democrats are trying to turn Bush into Nixon and the Iraq War into Vietnam. In fact, today we are in a worse situation.
On Brian and The Judge, Kirsten Powers has been subbing for Judge Napolitano and I think she's been doing a great job presenting a reality-based view. I noted before that she makes good points and as far as I can tell, is the only regular on FAUX to do so.
Brian, the former DJ, played a clip of a voice impersonator doing Patton urging us to fight on in Iraq. This clip was also played on Slots' show, so I expect many other gasbags will also be playing it today.
Jonathan Martin of Drudgico, as Atrios refers to Politico, was on B&TJ and claimed that Freddie the Hut is "the consummate Republican nominee." In other words, another telegenic gasbag like Raygun.
Mark Ginsberg, former Ambassador and FAUX News contributor, said he thinks Iraq is unwinnable because the Iraqis won't do the political work necessary to make a real nation-state. I think he said "there's no hope" but I couldn't hear clearly.

Well, while more people did die in Vietnam, Iraq is still a catastrophe.
What was this administration thinking when it marched in there? Plenty of other countries have tried, and failed, to do something with Iraq, and it seems that we're doing no better over there.
But then, that's no surprise at all.
Really looking forward to our government getting back to some semblance of normal again.
