Glenn Greenwald has a morally and factually informed article about a groups of powerful war whores, the Kagans. Donald (the father), Fred and Kimberly, Fred's wife, and Robert ALL are strong supporters of the Fiasco in Iraq but it's a case of war for thee but not for me.
Glenn found this remarkable and repulsive statement by Fred Kagan in the National Review, the pre-eminent conservative magazine in America, about Sen. Webb's bill to constrain deployments to Iraq by ensuring that each soldier has enough time away from the battlefield:
It means that the first thing that happens is that American soldiers may die who did not need to.
As George F. Will pointed out, there is no longer any justification for any American deaths in Iraq, something Gen. PR Petraeus admitted in a moment of surprising candor.
