NOW I GET IT...THEY ARE STUPID REDNECKS

I was wondering why the NRA is so opposed to the Democrats given the terrible fiasco in Iraq. I thought they were single-issue idiots, like the anti-abortion fundies, but the answer seems to be that they support the fiasco. From The Swamp:

"I wouldn't vote for him [McCain] for president," said Mark Dawkins, a patron NRA member from Winter Park, Fla. "I've felt that he has flip-flopped on the issues . . . But I agree with him on Iraq. The same people who come here and do this protest are the same people who would like to see our guns taken away from us."
